Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hesham bin Mohammed Al Jowdar

Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hesham bin Mohammed Al Jowdar received General Gibreel Al Rajoub the Chairman of the Palestinian Youth and Sports Supreme Council, and reviewed with him the relevant bilateral cooperation.

The minister conveyed to the guest the greetings of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, wishing the Palestinian youth and sports activities more progress.

Al Jowdar praised the bilateral ties, asserting the ministry’s keenness to boost these ties. He affirmed the importance of the Palestinian official’s visit to set up firm foundations for constructive cooperation via the exchange of expertise and reciprocal visits. He affirmed the keenness of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports in opening more channels of communication and cooperation with the Palestinian side in the various fields of youth and sports.

The Palestinian official affirmed his country’s keenness on achievement of maximum constructive cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain and to develop the cooperation to achieve the interest of both brotherly countries and peoples. He praised Bahrain’s distinctive efforts in fostering the youth and sports movement and the kingdom’s various achievements in both sectors that reflect the level of development and growth it has attained.

General Al Rajoub expressed his confidence in Bahrain’s contributions within the context of the bilateral cooperation to ensure the benefit from the experience of both countries in the arenas of youth and sports.

The minister received a commemorative gift from General Gibreel Al Rajoub.

State of Palestine’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Taha Mohammed Abdelqader, Assistant Undersecretary for Sports Facilities Affairs, Khalid Saleem Al Haj; and, the Director of Clubs Affairs, Tariq Al Arabi, also attended the meeting.
