Cassation court upholds rulings jailing 59 muslim brotherhood elements for 15 years

The Court of Cassation issued a final ruling during a session on Wednesday sentencing 59 elements of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood to 15 years in prison over committing acts of violence in Azbakia district in Cairo in 2013.

The court also ruled that prison sentences on five convicts be reduced from 10 years to 3.

The prosecution had accused the convicts of killing, hooliganism, use of violence, possession of unlicensed arms, sabotaging public establishments, resisting authorities, blocking roads and damaging police vehicles.
