Tajik-Kyrgyz border shooting

A Kyrgyz border guard opened fire at residents of Tajik enclave Vorukh, killing one people and wounding five others, local police said on Thursday.
The incident occurred in the Bedak area, where some 30 Tajiks were building a water supply system, local media quoted the police department of Sogd province as saying.
The Kyrgyz border guard fired warning shots before shooting at the Tajiks across the border, the report said.
This is not the first incident on the 911-km-long Tajik-Kyrgyz border this year. A skirmish between the two neighbors' border guards in January made the situation along their border even worse.
On May 7, a conflict between Tajik and Kyrgyz border people left 60 injured in Tajikistan's Vorukh and Kyzgyzstan's Ak-Sai.
The Isfara-Vorukh road, which passes through the territory of Kyrgyzstan, was briefly blocked after the clash.
