Twelve people were killed and four others injured early Saturday morning when a passenger bus collided with a family car on Yangon-Mandalay Expressway in Myanmar's Bago region, police said.
The bus carrying about 44 passengers bound for Yangon from Taunggyi, the capital of Shan State, collided with a family car at 2:10 a.m. local time at a location of about 267 kilometers from Yangon. Both vehicles were almost destroyed.
The passengers with serious injury were admitted to a nearby hospital.
