Thirteen people have died in a coal mine gas explosion in Southwest China's Yunnan Province, the local government said in a press release on Monday. The accident happened at around 12:30 am in a pit of Hongtutian Coal Mine in Fuyuan County, in the city of Qujing, when a total of 56 people were working there, RT reported. Forty-two people managed to escape without injuries while 14 were trapped. Rescuers have retrieved 13 dead bodies, but search operations continue for the worker who remains missing.
