Fifteen victims are identified of the crash of a helicopter Mil Mi-8 in northern Russia’s Murmansk Region, the press service of the Russian Investigative Committee told ITAR-TASS on Wednesday.
“At the present moment all 15 dead people are identified. Divers continue search for copter crash victims,” the committee said.
The helicopter Mi-8 crashed in the evening on May 31. The machine fell down in Munozero Lake and sank at a depth from two to five metres. According to different estimates, the helicopter was carrying from 17 to 19 people, including four crewmembers, the deputy governor of Murmansk Region and the general director of world’s largest high-graded phosphate ore producer Apatit. Only two people survived, the others died in the crash, including Deputy Governor of Murmansk Region Sergey Skomorokhov and Apatit Director-General Aleksey Grigoryev.
