At least 18 people were killed in Latvia when a supermarket roof collapsed near the capital Riga, the interior minister said on Friday, more than doubling the previous toll. "The latest information is that unfortunately 18 people have been killed," Interior Minister Rihards Koslovskis told the LNT TV channel. The previous death toll from the tragedy stood at six dead.
