At least two persons were killed and more than 15 others sustained injuries after two trains collided in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh Thursday, a senior railway official said. "The mishap happened early this morning when Katni passenger train collided with Varanasi-Shaktinagar Intercity Express train near Obra station in the state's Sonbhadra district. While two persons died on the spot, those injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital," he said, on condition of anonymity. The impact of the collision was so much that some of the coaches of both trains got mangled, local TV channels reported. Senior railway officials have rushed to the spot, the official said, adding that a probe has been ordered into the incident.
