At least three Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were martyred following roadside bomb explosion, defense officials said Sunday.
Gen. Zahir Azimi, spokesman for Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan, said the three soldiers were martyred in the past 48 hours.
He did not disclose further information regarding the exact location where the three soldiers were martyred, according to the Afghan (Khaama Press).
In the meantime, Gen. Azimi said at least 38 militants were killed following military operations in three different provinces.
Gen. Azimi further added Afghan armed forces also discovered and defused 46 rounds of improvised explosive device (IED) during the operations.
He said several weapons along with ammunition were also confiscated during the military operations.
The anti-government armed militant groups have not commented regarding the reports so far.
