Three women died and three were hurt when a fire razed a house in the Philippine capital on Friday, a fire official said.
The women were boarders staying at the house, which was made mostly of wood, in Makati City in greater Manila, said senior fire officer Reynaldo Gonzales.
The charred bodies of the victims were found under the rubble during clearing operations, he added.
Initial investigation showed the fire could have been started by an electric fan that overheated, dpa reported.
