Five people were killed and three others injured after a sedan crashed into a truck in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, confirmed local sources.
The head-on collision happened in Xinzhuangke Village in Yan'an City, police received a report of the accident via a phone call at 10:35 a.m..
Eight people in the two vehicles were trapped.
Firefighters have recused all those trapped, five died and the rest are being treated for their injuries.
The accident is under investigation.
