Six people were killed and 29 others wounded on Thursday after a bus plowed through a crowd of commuters on a main road in Makati City, part of Philippines' capital area, local media reported. The accident happened at the south-bound lane of Edsa- Magallanes avenue in Makati City. Inquirer quoted police chief Manuel Lukban as saying Elena Liner bus lost control of the brakes and ran over a group of people at the Magallanes loading and unloading bay before crashing into another bus at 6:40 a.m. on Thursday. Five people were reportedly killed on the spot while another one died later after sustaining serious injuries. Police are probing more details of the mishap.
