Six persons were killed and 20 others injured when a bus in which they were traveling collided with a mini truck in the eastern Indian state of West Bengal Saturday, said police.
The incident took place at the Sonamukhi-Beliatore road in the state, said the police.
Traffic accident takes place frequently in India, with an estimated 100,000 killed on the road each year.
Reckless driving, overpacking of passengers, lack of security surveillance and bad road conditions are blamed for the heavy toll.
