Seven soldiers and 57 insurgents were killed in newest military operations in Afghanistan, Khaama Press reported.

"Seven Afghan National Army soldiers embraced martyrdom in roadside bomb blasts and insurgent fire in past 24 hours," said a statement issued by the Ministry of Defense.

The statement does not specify the exact location of the incidents.

In the meantime, a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior stated that 57 militants were killed and 23 others wounded in separate military operations across Afghanistan in past 24 hours.
