At least eight people were killed in eastern Nepal in a one-vehicle accident Sunday, authorities said, according to dpa.
Nine others were injured in the accident in Okhaldhunga district, about 125 kilometres south-east of the capital Kathmandu.
'The jeep was carrying beyond its capacity and it rolled back downhill as it was going up a slope,' said police officer Dambar Bahadur Bika.
