Afghan police backed by the army have killed 21 Taliban militants during series of operations across the country over the past 24 hours, the country's Interior Ministry said in a statement released here on Sunday.
The troops, according to the statement, besides killing 21 militants, have also captured four more insurgents and seized a number of arms and ammunitions from the Taliban fighters during the operations.
Taliban militants fighting the government have yet to make comment.
