A small survey aircraft crashed in East Indonesia's Maluku Province on Sunday, killing the pilot and three crew members, local media reported. The charted single-engine plane carrying four people crashed and burned at a beach in Tual city at 12:10 p.m. local time after departing from Sentani Airport of Jayapura, the capital of Papua Province, Indonesia's Antara News reported. Antara said there were no fatalities among residents as the area was not populated. The condition of the plane with unclear destination was good for flying when it left Sentani, Antara reported, adding that bad weather was one of the factors to be blamed as heavy rain has been falling across the region when the accident happened. All of the victims have been evacuated to the Tual hospital for identification.
