6.5-magnitude earthquake

At least 26 people were killed and dozens got injured when a 6.5-magnitude earthquake jolted Ludian County of Zhaotong City in southwest China's Yunnan Province at 4:30 p.m. Sunday (Beijing Time), local seismological bureau said.
As of 7:10 p.m., 26 residents were killed, two were missing, and 79 got injured in Qiaojia County of Zhaotong which was hard hit by the quake.
The epicenter was monitored at 27.1 degrees north latitude and 103.3 degrees east longitude with a depth of 12 kilometers, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
