At least five people have been killed and six seriously wounded after an explosion on Monday at a fireworks factory near Zaragoza in northeastern Spain, Russia Today reported.

The cause of the explosion at the factory, which makes fireworks and matches, was not immediately known.

The sound of the explosion could be heard up to 20 kilometers away, while neighbors reported feeling the ground shake.
