At least 12 people were killed in an attack launched by Boko Haram insurgents in northeastern Nigeria.

The attack comes after Boko Haram militants have raided the town of Damasak located in Nigeria's Borno state.

The Nigerian police announced on Tuesday that militants believed to be members of Boko Haram group have killed scores of people and burnt houses in two villages in Nigeria's Borno state.
