At least eleven people were killed and twelve others wounded as a passenger van fell into a ravine near Salgran area in Murree Tehsil district, to the north of Punjab province, east Pakistan, on Sunday.The van was carrying 25 people at the time of the accident as a result of which eleven people were killed and twelve others were injured, rescuers said.The van plunged into the ravine after the driver lost control of the vehicle due to heavy rains and slippery roads. The rescue teams reached the site of the incident immediately and began shifting the victims to PIMS hospital in federal capital Islamabad. An official at hospital, Dr. Danish told KUNA that hospital has received twelve injured people and condition of several injured was critical.Murree is a popular hill resort situated around 50 kilometers northeast of Islamabad attracting tourists. The mountainous Murree faces number of accidents due to dangerous road track and careless driving and speeding. Yesterday a collision between two passenger buses and a petrol tanker killed 35 people in Gadani of Hub district on the coast of southwestern Balochistan province.
