At least five suspected militants were killed and six others wounded in clashes with security forces in Khyber tribal agency of northern Pakistan bordering Afghanistan, said reports on Sunday.
According to media reports, a security personnel was also injured in a clash between security forces and militants in the Akakhel area of Bara tehsil of the agency. The clash erupted as the militants launched a retaliatory attack on the security forces carrying a search operation in the area.
Earlier on Saturday, at least 20 suspected militants were killed and six security men lost their lives in a clash in Orakzai tribal region when militants attacked Zawan check post in Shirin Dara area. Khyber is among Pakistan's seven semi-autonomous tribal districts near the Afghan border facing militants' insurgency.
The clashes come as Pakistan military continue with operation 'Zarb e Azb' and 'Khyber-I' against the foreign and local militants in the tribal areas.
