At least 52 people have died in India in recent days during a spell of cold weather, dpa cited a media report as saying Wednesday.
Inhabitants in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar as well as the capital New Delhi were the most affected, the IANS news agency reported.
Temperatures fell into the low single figures Celsius, the report said.
