At least 23 people were killed and 30 others injured Thursday when their bus collided with a fuel truck in southern Afghanistan, dpa cited an official as saying.
'The traffic accident was due to reckless driving and occurred in Qalat city which is the provincial capital,' said Ghulam Sakhi Rogh Lewani, the police chief for the southern province of Zabul.
He said that the bus had been carrying more than 50 people.
