Former Albanian transportation minister Sokol Olldashi died in a car accident late Wednesday on a road linking capital Tirana and central city Elbasan. Olldashi, a Democratic Party lawmaker, served as the interior minister from 2005 to 2007, and the minister of public works, transportation and telecommunications from 2007 to 2013. Graduating from the University of Tirana's Faculty of Law in 1995, Olldashi started his political career in December 1990 as a member of the Democratic Party.
