Italy's defence minister Roberta Pinotti

Italy's Defense Minister Roberta Pinotti told a news conference on Tuesday that the Italian navy rescued 427 people from the fire-ravaged Norman Atlantic ferry.
She added that the death toll has risen to 10, while the ship was officially carrying 478 people, including 56 crew.
Italian transport minister Maurizio Lupi has said 38 people are still missing from the vessel.
The fire broke out on the Italian-owned ferry on Sunday as it encountered stormy weather. It is thought to have originated from a truck transporting olive oil.
