Indonesian soldiers evacuate a dead body

Heavy downpours in West Sumatra province triggered landslides earlier Friday, killing 2 people, an official said.
The landslides occurred at around 02:00 a.m. Jakarta time along a main toll road at Sinjunjung district and blocked the traffic, but the soil and stones were later removed, said Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesman of the Indonesian national disaster management agency.
A house was hit and damaged in Ranah Pinago village. "Two people were found dead under the rubble of the house at 05:15. But two others were rescued safely," the official told Xinhua over phone.
The agency warned of more possible landslides in the coming months as more rain is expected.
