Rival parties called on the government Monday to make utmost possible efforts to rescue the more than 200 passengers still missing from last week's ferry sinking off the nation's southwest coast. The death toll from the 6,825-ton ferry Sewol, which capsized off South Korea's south coast last Wednesday, rose to 64 as of Monday afternoon. Of the total 476 passengers, 238 remained unaccounted for, in addition to the 174 survivors who were rescued in the early hours after the sinking.
