A small plane crashed Monday in Mexico's southeast Veracruz state, killing two people on board, authorities said. The Ministry of Communications and Transport confirmed the Cessna 414 aircraft went down at 11:20 a.m. local time (1720 GMT) in the municipality of Miahuatlan, a mountainous area of Veracruz. The plane was en route from the northeastern state of Nuevo Leon to Veracruz with a pilot and a passenger on board. Government, police and Red Cross personnel have arrived at the crash site, trying to recover dead bodies and determine the causes of the accident.
