Twenty three people lost their lives and 24 others were injured during two days in road accidents recorded nationwide, Civil Protection said Saturday in a statement.
The heaviest toll was recorded in the province of Medea with five victims in addition to 7 injured in two road accidents.
The first accident caused four dead and seven injured in collusion between two light vehicles occurred on NR 1, in the municipality of Medjebeur and the second caused the death of a person in collusion between two cars NR 62, in the municipality of El Chellalet Adhaoura.
In addition, two cases of drowning deaths were recorded in Guelma.
