Two people were killed and seven others were injured after a crane overturned in east China's Shandong Province Saturday morning.

The accident happened at 7:50 a.m. in Liaocheng City, where a crane at a construction site in a chemical plant fell over.

Rescuers found nine injured people and sent them to local hospitals, and two of them later died.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
