Bogota - XINHUA
Seven people, including a minor, were killed in a traffic accident that occurred in northern Colombia, Colombian authorities said on Saturday.
The accident happened in an industrial area of Cartagena city, located in Colombia's northern Caribbean coast with a distance of 1,053 km from Bogota, capital of the country.
Seven people, including a minor, were killed by a crash between a truck and a van, according to a report from highway patrol.
The accident was caused by the driver's negligence that made the truck get out of its lane and crash against the van, local media reported.
Cartagena's transit police and fire department arrived soon to help in a rescue.
A report said that this is the third accident that occurred this week on the same road that connects the neighborhoods of Mamonal and Gambote, both of which are industrial areas of Cartagena.
