A missing Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777-200 jet was fit to fly and had undergone all necessary checks, dpa quoted the country's Transport Ministry as saying Thursday. The 12-year-old airliner underwent its last routine maintenance service on February 23 and was due for its next service on June 19, the ministry said in a statement. "The aircraft complied with all US Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) Air Worthiness directives and requirements," the statement added.
