A Turkish soldier was injured in an attack launched by members of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in a military vehicle assigned to protect areas of Diyarbakir city.
The forces stationed in the area launched a man-haunt operation in an attempt to arrest the perpetrators, who managed to flee the scene.
Meanwhile, unidentified assailants set fire to seven parked cars in central Istanbul. Police forces also searched a number of homes in the area to arrest the perpetrators.
