Turkish troops came under an attack by separatist terrorists near a village in the eastern province of Ağrı, 'Today's Zaman quoted the military as saying on Saturday.
Four soldiers were wounded in the attack, the General Staff said in a statement.
Clashes are ongoing while manned surveillance aircraft, helicopters and commando units were dispatched to the region, it also said.
The military generally refers to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) as the separatist terrorist organization.
