A US woman has died on the 8,163-metre Mount Manaslu in Nepal, authorities said Thursday.
Police said the 49-year-old woman died on the way up the mountain, at a height of 6,300 meters. She collapsed on her way up on Wednesday and died immediately, dpa quoted police as saying.
Her body was airlifted to Kathmandu's Teaching Hospital for autopsy on Thursday. She was in an expedition with six other foreign climbers.
