At least five firemen and two rescuers died Wednesday when they were extinguishing a warehouse fire in the capital city, it is reported. A wall collapsed when firefighters were trying to enter the warehouse forcefully, Argentine Security Secretary Sergio Berni told the press. Nine people were injured. The fact that the warehouse was used for storing paper files, mostly bank documents, made the fire out of control soon after it broke out at around 8:15 a.m. (1115 GMT). Some volunteers helping to put out the fire were trapped when two other walls collapsed moments later. A police spokesman said the rescue team is still searching through the rubble, because more firemen might be still trapped. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
