A young man had been killed and four others wounded during a shooting in the southern city of Avignon, local media reported on Sunday.
According to the local broadcaster Europe1, two masked gunmen on Saturday night opened fire against a group of youth gathered in a popular area in the southern city.
The 20- year-old victim succumbed to his injuries while the four others were hospitalized, it added.
The shooters fled on a vehicle while investigation was underway to identify the perpetrators and determine the reasons of the shooting
