The victim has alleged that the police demanded Rs. 50,000 bribe to register FIR

A rape victim was expelled from a school in Maharashtra's Latur district in order to maintain the dignity of the institution.

The 15-year-old victim, a class 11 student, was allegedly raped by an army man on the pretext of marriage, according to reports in ANI.

The victim, on Monday, said, "My school has suspended my admission on Monday saying their reputation can be tarnished if I continue to study here."

If this was not enough for the rape victim who is also a minor, the girl has alleged that police officials demanded Rs. 50,000 bribe to lodge the complaint. The FIR was registered only after the girl approached Latur's Superintendent of Police Shivaji Rathor

Medical examination of the victim has been conducted and a case under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against the accused.
