Egypt's Ambassador Sameh Amr

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)'s World Education Forum 2015 concluded Thursday in the South Korean city of Incheon.

Head of UNESCO Executive Council and Egypt's UNESCO Ambassador Mohamed Sameh Amr delivered an address to the three-day event.

The event concluded after adopting a "Declaration on the Future of Education".

Amr said all international experience was presented in this field during the event as well as efforts exerted by governments and civil society associations to develop the educational system in their respective countries.

The aim is not to only to provide education to all but to offer high quality and efficient education, he said.

Education is the base for achieving sustainable development and without it the peace the world aspires would not be attained, the chair of the UNESCO Executive Council said.

The Incheon Declaration was welcomed by the global education community, including government ministers from more than 100 countries, non-governmental organizations and youth groups. It encourages countries to provide inclusive, equitable, quality education and life-long learning opportunities for all, UNESCO said in a press release.
