 Nickelodeon has green-lighted a third season of their Nick at Nite comedy Instant Mom starring Tia Mowry.
The children's network shared the news Monday along with an announcement that the second season of the show will premiere on Oct. 2 at a new time slot, 8 p.m.
Nickelodeon's President of Content Development and Production Russell Hicks said in a statement that the show had "proven to be the perfect breakout series for families to enjoy together on Nick at Nite."
"The show appeals to kids and parents alike, and we're excited to continue delivering new, comedic storylines that our talented cast and creative team bring to life," he added.
The half-hour series stars Mowry as Stephanie, a former party girl who becomes the stepmom of three children after marrying Charlie (Michael Boatman). The show is executive-produced by Howard Michael Gould, Aaron Kaplan and Regina Hicks.
The network said it ordered 20 new episodes for Instant Mom's the third season.
