Bangladesh's highest court Thursday upheld the death sentence for a top Islamist leader convicted of war crimes, just two days after he was given a dramatic last-minute reprieve from execution. Chief Justice Muzammel Hossain "dismissed" Abdul Quader Molla's appeal in the Supreme Court for a final review of his death sentence. The judge said his dismissal paves the way for Molla's execution.
