Egypt's commodities authority has contracted to import 110,000 tons of wheat from Russia and Ukraine for subsidized bread.
The quantities will be delivered by several firms at prices of EGP1,940-1,970 per ton, said Mamdouh Abdel Fattah, the authority's deputy chief.
The tender to import the quantities was announced by the cabinet in February.
