Egypt will receive on Friday an Italian award on "the best practices of sustainable development and application of information technology in exporting crops and agricultural food from the countries of the southern Mediterranean to the European Union through Trieste Port of Italy.

Egypt's Agriculture Minister Salah Hilal on Tuesday assigned head of the Central Administration of the Agricultural Quarantine Saad Mohamed Moussa to travel to Milan to be handed the award.

The Italian agriculture minister will hand the prize in a big ceremony on Friday, which will be attended by European and African delegations.
