Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) Mohammad el Sweidi called on Tuesday for increasing the volume of trade in Africa through exchanging commodities with the African countries.

Sweidi made the statement after a meeting with Trade and Industry Minister Mounir Fakhri Abdel Nour.

He added that this move will help supply the Egyptian market with foreign currency and activate the role of trade representation offices in Africa.

Sweidi urged the Egyptian government to allocate 25% of energy subsidies to boost the Egyptian exports in the African continent.
