The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC

The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has rebuilt 17 houses to several Yemeni families as part of the first phase of reconstruction in Mocha in Taiz Governorate, Yemen, under the framework of a series of rescue and humanitarian aid for the #Year of Giving.
After delivering the house keys to the beneficiaries, an ERC official in Aden stressed that the ERC would continue helping Yemeni citizens in liberated regions, adding that this assistance is part of the humanitarian actions of the Year of Giving, announced by the UAE’s wise leadership.
He highlighted that the ERC’s philanthropic activities included restoring and building schools, hospitals and houses in the Mocha region, as well as digging several drinking water wells in villages and impoverished areas in Bab-el-Mandeb and Mocha. He added that the first phase after the liberation of Mocha included the reconstruction of several houses and the restoration of the Mocha electricity power plant and its water network, hospital and doctors’ housing, the Motherhood and Childhood building and four schools.
Ali Al Shami, a beneficiary of the first phase of reconstruction from the Mocha region, said that the war by coup supporters destroyed their homes, forcing them to leave. They also had no homes after the liberation, but the UAE and ERC rebuilt the homes of affected people and made them happy, as their assistance was not only about delivering food and medical supplies.
He expressed his appreciation and that of the other families to the UAE leadership and people and the ERC, for their generous support in all areas.
