Chinese stocks closed mixed Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index going down 0.49% to close at 3,110.04 points.

    The Shenzhen index closed 0.56% higher at 10,882.95 points. The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was up 0.36% to close at 2,201.1 points.
