The U.S. dollar traded in the mid-101 yen range on Friday morning in Tokyo deals, slightly lower from its overnight levels in New York. At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 101.48-49 yen compared with 101.54-64 yen in New York and 102.02-03 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday. The euro fetched 1.3716-3717 dollars and 139.20-22 yen against 1.3705-3715 dollars and 139.23-33 yen in New York and 1.3674-3675 dollars and 139.51-55 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon.
