The Indian stocks opened higher Monday with Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark index Sensex opening at 23,031.11, 36.88 points or 0.16 percent up from the previous close of 22,994.23 points. The Sensex continued to gain soon after start of trade amid upbeat atmosphere of election season which sees the Bharatiya Janata Party as the winner.
