Indian stocks opened higher Thursday with the Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex opening at 22,123.74 points, 28.44 points or 0.13 percent up from the previous close of 22,095.30 points. The Sensex has been on an upswing trend for days following the Wall Street and other Asian markets, together with optimistic mood at home over likely winning of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the upcoming general election.
